Organizational Development

A proactive, comprehensive process used to reach and sustain structural,
cultural, and behavioral change throughout the organization.

Organizational development is a proactive, intermediate-to-long range process that emphasizes the creation of high commitment, high performance teams. The key elements of organizational development work include participation, shared decision-making, and the empowerment of people.

Moore & Associates helps organizations to engender trust and nurture positive relationships at all levels of the organization affected by the change.

Typical organizational development projects may include:

Assessment, Analysis, Feedback, & Action Planning

Fact-finding activities which are designed to assess the state of the organization and capture both "hard" and "soft" data. Moore & Associates' consultants use a variety of methods to obtain this data including interviews, surveys and diagnostic meetings. The objective is to identify major organizational issues. The information learned during the assessment phase is analyzed and fed back to the organizational constituents who are actively engaged in problem solving. The team develops scenarios regarding present and future expectations and evaluates various alternatives for moving from What is" to "what should be."

Creating High Performance Teams

Team building activities that create a climate for change. Moore & Associates facilitates change involving team members in such activities as goal setting, solving task-related problems, and developing job skills. A role analysis technique is often employed as a tool that clarifies responsibilities within the team.

Structured Integrated Work

This process is designed to improve the effectiveness of interdependent groups. The focus is on identifying common goals, resolving conflicts and improving communications. The organizational structure is analyzed to improve the alignment of people, tasks and processes.

Education & Development

The focus may be technical or interpersonal related to goal setting, leading others, decision making, problem solving and communication. The client is given insight into human processes in organizations and is taught skills for diagnosing and managing them.
